We’re a diverse community of conscious travel enthusiasts, environmental specialists, wildlife specialists, travel-related service providers, environmental bloggers, and vloggers, that’s all about raising awareness and helping to savor the experience of eco-friendly and conscious living. Here at Lanka Midnight Hunters, we focus on encouraging tourists and travelers to travel more consciously making minimal impacts to the environment. We strongly believe that the environment is just a habitat for mankind and not a possession of mankind. Humans depend on, adapt, and modify the environment.

Dealing with the environment more consciously is the ultimate gratitude we can extend towards Mother Nature for the abundance of natural beauty, physical and mental healing, livelihoods, inspirations, lessons and much much more she willingly gives us.

As you’re already aware we’re a community made up of travel enthusiasts, environmental specialists, wildlife specialists, travel-related service providers, environmental bloggers and vloggers, that’s all about raising awareness and helping to savor the experience of eco-friendly and conscious living.

Here’s the story of our community from the inception of the idea of Lanka Midnight Hunters to how our community grew to what it is today.

Our founder, Nilusha Weerapura aka Traveller Madhawa was born with a vivid curiosity towards the environment and its long-hidden secrets. While still in school and pursuing his studies for his advanced levels, he started traveling to nearby places away from his hometown. There, for the first time in his life, he experienced the mist of the highland mountains, hidden waterfalls, and rural and hidden faraway villages and saw birds, animals, and snakes he’d never seen before. These experiences allowed our founder to look at nature in a fresh perspective. With this novel take on nature, in return nature started to talk and unravel its beauties to our guy. The mere love for travel soon turned into a more intimate bond with the environment. He started to learn more about the environment and became a self-taught environmental specialist. He’s specialized in the classification of waterfalls.

With this Madhawa wanted to share this incredible gift with the others. In 2017, He formed a team of travel enthusiasts and started Lanka Midnight Hunters. And together they traveled around the country and in those expeditions found the needy and with the strong need to help the fellow people, carried out some CSR projects too. Each and every team member worked hand in hand with the founder Madhawa to bring Lanka Midnight Hunters to its current glory.
