■ Alupola Ella, located in Alupola within the Ratnapura district, stands at a height of 68 meters. The waterfall gets its name from a nearby tea estate. It is fed by a brook originating from Kalugaldova, situated on the southern slope of Bathurugala Mountain. The route to the falls, along the Wewelwatta - Rassagala road from Ratnapura to Balangoda, is considered one of the most scenic drives.

■ Located approximately 3 kilometers beyond Wewelwatta town, Alupola Falls takes its name from the nearby Alupola estate. Among the numerous waterfalls in the Ratnapura region, it stands out for its beauty. The area surrounding the falls is rich in wildlife, including wild boar, sambur deer, and various reptiles. Visitors should be cautious of leeches in the area and ensure they are properly equipped with anti-leech protection, such as special socks, to avoid discomfort.
