The waterfall's name is derived from an ancient myth about a king with many queens. According to the tale, after returning from battle, the king promised his wives that they would receive a signal from the hills to inform them of his fate. He explained that if his soldiers waved a white flag over the hills, it would signify his defeat and death in battle. Conversely, if the king himself raised a flag bearing his crest, it would indicate his victory.
