Athwelthota Kabaragoi Ella Falls is a charming yet modest waterfall located in the Athwelthota region. The name "Kabaragoya," which translates to "water monitor," suggests that the waterfall's name may refer to the presence of these reptiles in the area, though the exact origin of the name remains uncertain. It’s likely that the region once had a large population of water monitors. The falls are most spectacular during the rainy season and are a favored spot for bathing.

■ Located just half a kilometer from the Ahas Bokkuwa Bridge, an arch bridge constructed in the early 1900s, this waterfall is easily accessible.

Travel about 4 kilometers from Athwelthota towards Kalawana, and you'll reach Ahas Bokkuwa, also known as the Sky Bridge, which is believed to have been constructed during World War I. A footpath running alongside the stream, just beyond the bridge, leads you directly to the base of the waterfall.
