Ranawana’s cat snake
Like other boiga species it has a long, slender body with a oval shaped head and a round sbout. The eyes are large and the pupil is vertical. It's and arboreal snake and has a good prehensile tail. Spends the daytime sleeping inside a safe place and gets active at night. When threatened teies to bite while shaking the tail tip.
Ranawana’s cat snake
The body is mainly yellowish brown or golden with brown spots. Ventral side is white or yellow. Adults can groe upto 80cm and jubrniles are about 12-15cm. Lays about 5-10 eggs at a time.

Mainly feeds on small reptiles like geckos and lizards. Can be found in all Wet, Dry and Intermediate climatic zones.
